The 2022 vintage, despite a dry winter and a hot summer, yielded quality grapes with a balance of flavours. Rain in August provided relief, aiding in the grapes' ripening. The winemaking process included a prolonged maceration on skins and controlled-temperature fermentation, enhancing the wine's character. Matured for 10 months in stainless steel, the wine retains its fruit-forward style, showcasing the Nero di Troia's elegance and complexity.

Dennis Verdecchia trained in New Zealand, Argentina and South Africa before finding a home with Vigneti Dennis oversees Cantina Diomede's vineyards. His focus is on obtaining high-quality grapes through manual operations and sustainable practices ensuring the wines are superb examples of Puglia wines.

The wine's fruit-driven and spicy profile complements dishes with rich tomato, olive flavours, and grilled vegetables.

Nero di Troia, a native grape of Southern Italy, produces rich, full-bodied red wines with aromas of dark fruits, earthy notes, and a distinct tannic structure.

Puglia, Italy's sun-drenched wine region, is a historic wine-producing region. Its Mediterranean climate and iron-rich soils nurture robust reds like Negroamaro and Primitivo and refreshing whites. The climate is characterised by hot, dry summers and mild winters, which contribute to the intense flavour profiles of its wines; ripe fruit flavours and spice.
